II have been fortunate to have travelled to many corners of the world and observed parrots in their natural environment in a time when they seemed less vulnerable, although they were, But there is a sense of urgency to halt the rapid decline in habitat destruction, collecting and other threats or else we will see the extinction of many of these special birds. We can all help in our own way and I work with and support the work of individuals and organisations to ‘do my bit’ in the hope that every little helps.
I am a wildlife artists who likes to paint birds and especially the wonderful and colourful Parrot family. I enjoy painting using different styles and mediums depending on my subject and how I want to portray them. Watercolour and inks for sketching and study paintings oils and acrylics for more detail and habitat paintings but there are no hard and fast rules and I do not prefer one over the other.
I hope you enjoy looking and many of my paintings are available in print form. Please do get in touch if you have any questions or comments.
